About Us
Welcome
Hi! I’m Engr. Riz S. San Juan, Founder and Chief Goal Officer of RSJ & Co. Management and Consultancy. With trainings in civil engineering and advocacies to effective management practices in development and construction, I bring a unique blend of technical experience and management skills to every project I become involved in.
In my journey as an engineer, former banker, and management advocate, I've developed and used a mix of distinct skill and wisdom set crucial in my professional practice: technical expertise, organizational management, and people or human behavior knowledge. These elements, when balanced and used properly, pave the way for exceptional results. The hands-on experience as a former builder-contractor for notable clients like Mercury Drug, Insular Life, Tropical Hut, LG Electronics, Expressions, and as project consultant of private individuals and businesses, have enriched my approach in managing projects.
Over the years, I’ve seen the gap between project owners’ situation and their goals/desires being filled by professionals with limited management experience, unprofessional low ballers, technical-focused managers, and inexperienced technology-dependent starters. The result: Weak and ineffective management leading to uncontrolled delays, risks escalation, uncertainties, communications breakdown, stressful disputes, budget overruns, quality issues, and more.
While I manage and lead projects hands-on together with my team members, I’m also prepared to do one-on-one consultancy-advisory services and provide tailored strategic insights to initiate, plan, and execute projects successfully, ensuring clients' visions become reality.
Founder's Story
Life's journey rarely adheres to a straight path; it's more like a winding road with unexpected humps and turns. Conventional wisdom paints a linear career trajectory — graduate, secure a job, climb the corporate ladder. Following this blueprint, I embarked on my engineering career as an employee, pursued advanced studies in business management while teaching, and eventually ventured into corporate roles, managing development project accounts for major banks.
Life's twists led me to a deeper fascination with business and management. Armed with technical skills, finance experience, and management trainings, I left the corporate world and ventured into my own construction and trading business.
Embarking on this new journey proved to be a formidable challenge. It was marked by obstacles and trials, with a path strewn with frustrations, disappointments, and setbacks, largely due to my haste and lack of discernment. My business ventures have been a mix of triumphs and failures, each contributing significantly to my personal and professional development. With the experience, learned lessons, skills to offer, and a clearer view of what ground to cover, a specific road map was laid and paved.
In 2017, I transitioned from being an entrepreneurial builder to a dedicated development management professional. Leveraging my extensive background as a builder-contractor and my track record managing development project accounts for major banks, corporations, and individual clients, I bring a unique blend of skills and vision to the table. This combination not only unlocks new opportunities for growth but also leaves a meaningful impact on the projects I engage with.
